National Beer Day Celebrated at WeWork in Astoria

National Beer Day Merriment

It was a boozy celebration of National Beer Day last night at the new WeWork Studio Square shared workspace in Astoria, Queens.  A couple hundred local revelers from the almost-Williamsburg-level-hip neighborhood were greeted with crisp Shandies and then ascended to an upper level with multiple bars.  A number of  local craft beers - including some intriguing choices from Bronx Brewery - hard ciders, and a distinct South African Sauvignon Blanc were cheerfully served by a bevy of beefy bartenders dressed in crisp oxfords, as circulating waitstaff offered dangerous-smelling tequila shots, soft pretzels, and sliders. The deejays had the place grooving hard by the end of the night, when everyone was given wristbands to continue the party at the bar next door.

WeWork Studio Square + Beer = Perfect Together

National Beer Day is a perfect focus for this WeWork, since its ground floor is home to the “other” Astoria beer garden (complete with jumbo screen for sports viewing), which is sure to draw beer lovers from throughout the borough and beyond this summer.
